Board Liaison: Division Secretary
Job Responsibilities:
Complete all assignments given in a timely and accurate manner. Assist the President and other Division Board members as necessary. Represent the Division to the best of your ability in a professional and courteous manner. Keep all board members fully informed at all times regarding personal activities relevant to division business. Submit a complete written report to be included as a part of the annual meeting program. Be actively involved in all Division events, at Annual Meeting, FLAN’s, chapter events, etc.
Specific Job Tasks:
Manage (in tandem with Division Board) overall publicity and public relations efforts for APW Week
Assist chapters in the Division with publicity and public relations goals and objectives regarding APW Week, and help educate the public about the expanding roles of administrative professionals.
Arrange for state/province government proclamation for APW/APD for states/provinces within your Division.
Help chapters be informed of key trends in office administration/technology; skills most in demand; professional trends.
Assist with building awareness for all members within your Division of IAAP international news, events, programs, benefits, and services.
Inform members about education opportunities available through IAAP, such as the Professional Education Conference, the Certification Seminar, the International Convention and Education Forum, etc.
Promote chapter events to division members as appropriate.
Assist the Division President in the maintenance of the Division Speaker’s Bureau.
